Election Woes
10/31/10

As election day nears I wish to share with you my fear of what will happen. I believe the political process is so flawed, and skewed by big money, as to make a sensible result to occur impossible. We have so many forces fighting for our votes that they have become blurred.

We have the typical Republican and Democrat ads. The Republican ads are the best of the two. They have attacked Democrat policy, while Democrat ads are too personalized. This give the Republicans the appearance of unity, far more than do the Democrat ads. Democrats are distancing themselves from Pelosi, which is akin to agreeing with the Republicans.

We have the Tea Party ads and candidates. They have been very careful in picking their fights. Remember they can't control anything and only seek an inroad from which to build. I personally do not see that they have anything to offer, but offer it, they do, loudly and often. They may put themselves in a position to withhold votes until quid pro quid occurs. They will be able to sell their votes to either side, like the whores they are.

Finally we have the corporate money, flowing unfettered in an effort to control legislators. If those elected feel beholden God help the working class. Remember, corporate money can support both sides. This puts them in an enviable position as legislation approaches the stage of becoming a law. They can lobby both sides. This we can thank our Supreme Court for; the dastards.

I believe Democrats will lose seats. How many? Time will tell. The Democrats had a true shot at success and have thrown it away. They were manipulated by the Republicans to splinter and present little or no appearance of unity.

The good news is that it does not matter. Very, very few of the incumbents deserve to be returned. None of those seeking election as newcomers are of much value. It will be business as usual. Guns, War, Drugs, the seizing of individual rights will continue unabated. We have become as incorrigible and corrupt as those third world countries at which we once laughed. Nothing good emanates from Washington, D.C. WE must return to citizen government or be doomed. This is not possible as our two party system is structured. WE get two worthless people for whom to vote. A true man of the people cannot be elected.
