This clip from YouTube is significant
for two reasons, one of our KBIX alumni, (the
same station where I started in radio and ended
my career with a few stops around the country
in-between) is mentioned by Steve and Elvis, Don
Wallace who got a petition signed by 18,000
listeners to show all of Elvis on TV, not just
from the waist up and secondly, it was just
before this performance by Elvis that Ed
Sullivan had called him back stage and offered
him $50,000 per appearance topping Allen's offer
of $7,500 per show.
