BP is going to kill the well? Is that  the end of the danger? Paul Price, Mark McCandlish and Jerry Pippin lay out the facts as known on August  2nd  just before midnight.  In addition to the questions about the oil itself, how much is still there and what will happen to it, it is agreed it just didn't go away. Dispersants, toxic to animal and human were dumped by BP and evidence is that the government had those who said "no" but the Coast Guard and BP did otherwise. A new tropical depression is building and the danger to the Eastern Seaboard is discussed in detail as well as an over all look at what the largest oil spill in the history of man is really doing. Jerry reveals that information has just come to him from Ocean researchers that the Loop Current has stopped moving, leaving warm temperatures to build and oil residue to settle which will mean huge climate changes by 2011 including food shortages and drastic differences in climate thousands of miles away from the scene of the crime, Deepwater Horizon. Another Rig, More 0il and Fire in the Gulf
by Jerry Pippin

(1:00 p.m. Central Time) Platform is still burning but reports say it is contained, in other words it is not spreading. Most experts think there were about a hundred barrels on the rig and probably there is one oil leak. 1400 barrels of oil a day come from this well and natural gas is also being drilled there.

The Department of Homeland Security said the platform, known as Vermilion Oil Platform 380, was owned by Mariner Energy of Houston. The platform is in 340 feet of water and was not producing oil and gas. Mariner Energy focuses on oil and gas exploration and production company focused on the Gulf of Mexico. In April, Apache Corp., another independent petroleum company, announced plans to buy Mariner in a cash-and-stock deal valued at $3.9 billion, including the assumption of about $1.2 billion of Mariner's debt. That deal is pending.

An Apache report said the well was drilled in the third quarter of 2008 in 340 feet of water..

Responding to an oil spill in shallow water is much easier than in deepwater, where crews depend on remote-operated vehicles access equipment on the sea floor. The platform is about 200 miles west of BP's blown out Macondo well. On Friday, BP was expected to begin the process of removing the cap and failed blow-out preventer, another step toward completion of a relief well that would complete the choke of the well. The BP-leased rig Deepwater Horizon exploded April 20, killing 11 people and setting off a massive oil spill.

CBS 60 Minutes- exposes BP negligence with Deepwater disaster.

Australian 60-Minutes piece on BP oil spill: We keep hearing this documentary is being censored by pressure tactics but we have seen no evidence of that. We do find it hard to believe BP's claim they have spent 1.5 billion on the clean up. This is from Australia's version of 60 minutes and does uphold the tradition of its American counter part - CLICK HERE to view or to download.

Facts as we know them June 15, 2010

1. From the second day when it became apparent this was a fracture, several geologist and oil friends expressed to me the fear that this was a runaway well and the entire reserve would be emptied out into the Gulf before it was over.

2. Estimates from BP on record show the reserve might be as much as 2.5 billion barrels
3. Jack Sarfatti posted something, quoting an Anadarko Petroleum report which set the total amount at 2.3 billion barrels. As this empties out, many experts think that the Gulf Floor itself could collapse.
4. It is rumored that BP Employees are already taking the Fifth Amendment under questioning by investigators from state and federal grand juries.

Posted above is a YouTube version of part of an interview that Richard Hoaglund gave George Noory- Listen closely it is a doomsday scenario but we are posting it because we feel the public should know the potential downsides of this event --

Alexander Higgins' blog has several slow motion photos from the sea floor near the blown out well. What you see  in these pictures is confirmation of much of what is reported concerning a damaged pipe and oil leaks plus build up of natural gas. Obviously BP is not telling the true story if these pictures are what they appear to be and the government needs to take over this operation before it blows.  Tidal Waves and poisonous gases could be released causing untold damage from Texas to Florida.  CLICK HERE
A pretty horrible picture of what is to come, it is already raining oil in River Ridge, LA, a suburb of New Orleans.  Oil is everywhere on the streets and in the drinking water and it has just begun. The smell is quite a contrast from the normal freshness of a normal summer rain in the South.

Denise Rednour (http://deniselngbch.blogspot.com/) lives in the Gulf Area and created this memory of what Southern Living near the Gulf of Mexico meant and how this body of water was the heart and soul of this country...in beauty and bounty. Look at the beautiful pictures and weep for they are only now a memory and promises of restoration have been made, but we all know in our hearts these are going to be empty promises made in a time of despair. Shouldn't we find another energy source instead of systematically destroying our way of life for oil?

" A picture is worth a trillion words...and this is way beyond words... it will NOT just "go away"...what goes around comes back around...it is not a flat Earth...it is round...it is round... "
- Andrew R. Stec Andrew documents in pictures how the Deepwater Horizon explosion and oil spill has ended life as we know it in the Gulf of Mexico.

Glen Pitts put together this light-hearted novelty song with graphic pictures that are very serious so take time to enjoy the parody but take note of the pictures.

Scott Walker, reporter for WDSU-TV in New Orleans runs afoul of private guards working for BP on public Beach and it is obvious that the employees have all been intimidated with the threat of losing their jobs with they talk to the media.
